The Plan

So, what exactly *is* my plan, you ask? Here it is broken down:

Introduction

Nobody sets out to be unhappy. But nobody sets out to be happy at the expense of the people around them because of their bad habits (that make them happy). These things can vary from smoking to drinking to overworking and even eating until they are obese. There are people who are very comfortable in those states. It is a very healthy thing to step back, and take a look at your life and those you effect and wonder what it is you can do to make a difference.
This will ALWAYS start with yourself because you only have the power to change you. Others might change due to your influence, but it’s never an approximate thing and it’s only because THEY chose to.

There Are No Set Rules on How to Get Fit

As most of you probably know, there is no cure-all for getting into shape. There is such an array of different reasons people are where they are, it would be non productive to list them all and even if I did, I would have to slap a cover on it and call it a book. Since I am a n00b at this, I am certainly not qualified to write a book… yet. But what I can say is that there are plenty of statistics out there to show you what DOESN’T work, and why. Before starting any physically changing adventure, always use your brain and investigate what you are doing and even if you should be doing it, first.

I personally do not follow fad diets or regimens that do not include a lifestyle forever plan. I am not a fan of Atkins diet ( I know some of you have seen results, good for you) so you wont hear me promoting it. I also am not a fan of the water fasting diet where you starve yourself for 60 days or the HCG diet which has a whole rigamarole of bad side effects (can we say ‘man breasts’?). Again, I’m sure there are plenty of you out there with testimonials of these diets but I would like to ask you to refrain from trying to sell me on them.  I believe in good ol’ fashioned healthy eating, safe exercise, and spiritual support to get fit and that is what I plan to emulate in the next few months.

Results May Vary

I know that in sharing this information with you, my results may vary from yours. At least you know what it was I did and the results I got to help encourage you on your own walk to getting fit. There are a few things I might be doing that alters my results from yours. For example, I am still nursing my 8 mo old. That burns a good 500+calories a day. I also have to upkeep a busy household of 9 people, many who are inept at cleaning up after themselves. That burns… um… a whole lot of calories, too. So you should generalize my activity and round it up when taking into consideration what I have to do throughout the day. Keep in mind we are all different and have both genes and body types that make some things easier for some and harder for others.

Collaboration

I love hearing from you and helping to connect up those of you who need support systems with other readers. Not everyone has an encouraging factor in their lives. So if you have tips or recipes or even a good workout (within reason) to share, please do so! I would be happy to post a link to you or feature you in an upcoming article or vlog. If you have something to add or a response, please post a video response on my youtube channel PostpartumLoser Youtube.
